Making of: the performance cubes

Since yesterday the whole Berlin Square team is on site in Shanghai working on the the final arrangements for the grand opening on next Tuesday.

Amongst live concerts, DJ-sets and action painting performances, 25 cubes will be at the center of the Berlin Square. The cubes are upholstered with 1:1 images of 25 amazing design objects from Berlin’s best designers. The selection of the objects was curated by Flip Sellin from COORDINATION BERLIN and Joerg Suermann from DMY.

During the 5 days of the Berlin Square  in Shanghai a performance team will continuously set the cubes in motion, providing ever-changing relationships between the cubes – an installation as fluid as the character of Berlin itself.
