Love of detail – Lalaberlin

The young fashion label Lalaberlin achieved an unrivalled breaktrough in the international fashion scene. The Vogue Magazin called the Berlin based fashion label” ingenious”. Stars and celebrities like Claudia Schiffer, Franziska Knuppe, Barbara Schöneberger, Inga Humpe, Christiane Paul and Heidi Klum vow for the classy dresses made in Berlin.

The woman behind lala is Leyla Piedayesh. Leyla Piedayesh always had a love for wool, but the idea to create her own knitwear collection began as the one-time MTV VJ noticed a pair of knit wrist warmers at a flea market in the fall of 2003. By January of 2004 she had already presented her first knitwear collection at Premium in Berlin.

Since then, the mix of big-city couture with heart and high-end knits has become a hallmark, establishing the brand as the darling of the fashion aficionados in Europe and the whole world. Beginning as a Berlin label, Lalaberlin has become an International Brand in only a few seasons.

Today Lalaberlin is available in over 60 stores worldwide.  In the beginning, all the accessories were hand-knit by Leyla herself. Due to the high demand of her collections, now only a fraction of the collection is produced in the Berlin Atelier. Lalaberlin stands for first class Knits: a collection that caresses, engenders beauty and gives the wearer the feeling that they are wearing something special. Through the love of detail, the collection is one of a kind and unmistakable.

The Lalaberlin Store has been in operation since January 2006 in Berlin Mitte’s Mulackstrasse. From 1th to 5th of June Lalaberlin is part of the Berlin Square in Shanghai.
