And the winner is….

The Berlin based company INTERFILM accommodates structures, networks and events to cultivate the short film genre. Once a year Interfilm  hosts  the INTERNATIONAL SHORT MOVIE FESTIVAL in Berlin. The platform comes with a strong experience in creating events and cooperations in film business.

Interfilm’s goal is to search out skilled and creative filmmakers and bring their work together. Furthermore the platform compiles short film programmes that are shown all over the world as well as programmes of festival highlights.

INTERFILM curated five ranges of 62 German short films for the German Pavilion in Shanghai. The comprehensive program will be shown on the screen of balancity. In the evenings short films from and about Germany will be screened according to five different sets of programs: “Look out Germany!”, “Cityscapes”, “Kick off!”, “Wallflowers from Berlin” and “Best of Germany”. Besides insights in German culture and history these films mirror Germany’s lively short-film scene.

Eight films out of the INTERFILM distribution have been awarded by the 1st Chinese International New Media Shorts Award in Shenzhen, which took place from 10th to 12th of May. The award aims to recognize excellence in the creation of new media shorts in China and overseas, nurture new media film & TV talents with ambitions, passions and creativity.
