Big bang in Shanghai

Fireworks light up the sky during the opening ceremony of the World Expo in Shanghai on April 30. More than 20 heads of state including French President Nicholas Sarkozy and European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso are attending the 90-minute opening ceremony presided over by Chinese President Hu Jintao.
